Compared to December 2009, the number of pension recipients having small pensions (up to EUR 142.29) has increased:
1) The number of persons, to whom pensions are granted in accordance with the international regulatory enactments (i.e., when determining the rights of pension receipt the insurance periods of Latvia and other EU/EEZ Member States are taken into account, but each country grants the pension on own insurance periods), grows.
2) The volume of pensions granted to early retired has reduced: If old-age pension has been granted early from June 1, 2009, person receives 50% of the volume of granted pension, and if pension is granted before this date - 80% of the volume of pension granted. Year:

Compared to December 2009, the number of pension recipients having small pensions (up to EUR 142.29) has increased:
1) The number of persons, to whom pensions are granted in accordance with the international regulatory enactments (i.e., when determining the rights of pension receipt the insurance periods of Latvia and other EU/EEZ Member States are taken into account, but each country grants the pension on own insurance periods), increases.
2) In the number of pensions granted, the number of disabled people with 3rd group, with a granted pension EUR 64.03, is dominating. Year:

Compared to December 2011, the number of pension recipients having small pensions (up to EUR 85.37) has increased due to the rise in:
1) number of persons living in Latvia to whom pensions are granted in accordance with the international regulatory enactments, i.e., when determining the rights of pension receipt the insurance periods of Latvia and other EU/EEZ Member States are taken into account, but each country grants the pension on own insurance periods;
2) number of persons receiving pension in Latvia while living in other EU/EEZ Member States. Year:

Starting with 2008 in cases when person's value of pension has changed during the reference period (for example, instead of premature old-age pension the person is assigned old-age pension) the person is selected in the interval which corresponds to average value.
