A variable is a property of a statistical unit. The page is divided into several boxes, one for each variable, where you can select values by click to highlight one or more values. In 2016 and 2019 the library collection was significantly affected by patent documents written off by Patent Office Library.

Materials removed from the collection (units of information)

The number of documents removed from special libraries in 2012 increased as technical library of Patent Office Library copied many patent documents to micro-carriers.

The number of documents removed from special libraries in 2016 and 2019 increased due to a large number of patent documents written off by Patent Office Library. This has also significantly affected the total library collection.

The large number of written-off documents in 2024 is related to the liquidation of the Academic Library of the University of Latvia and the writing-off of its collection.
