The amount of average old-age pension paid in 2010 does not include the sum withheld due to the Law 'On payment of state pensions and state allowances during time period from 2009 to 2012' adopted on June 16, 2009, which was paid to the old-age pension recipients in the 2nd quarter of 2010.

Statistical indicators of 2011 on average size of pensions paid and expenditure on pensions have increased due to the discontinuation of the bank JSC Latvijas Krājbanka activities and change of the institution paying the pensions.
