To ensure methodological consistency with the recalculated land area for 2022 and subsequent years in table DRT011, land area for the period before 2022 was also recalculated by reprocessing the 2009–2016 LGIA topographic map data at a scale of 1:10 000. This included introducing 1 m buffer around watercourses up to 3 m wide and merging intersecting polygons within each map sheet.
